Social Media Creation

My experience with the Iowa Wild was a defining chapter in my career—where I developed not only my skills in digital marketing and content creation, but also my understanding of how powerful storytelling can be when it’s fully integrated across an organization.

As a Social Media and Marketing Intern, I worked at the intersection of content, strategy, and business operations. What stood out most was the level of collaboration between departments. I partnered closely with marketing, PR, ticket sales, and corporate partnerships to ensure that every piece of content served a larger purpose—whether that was driving ticket sales, fulfilling sponsor obligations, or strengthening the team’s connection with its fan base. This experience showed me that the most impactful content doesn’t exist in a vacuum; it’s built through alignment, communication, and a shared vision.

On a day-to-day basis, I created and scheduled content across all major platforms, contributed to live game coverage, and supported integrated marketing campaigns. I loved the challenge of coming up with fresh, creative ideas every day—content that didn’t just inform, but made fans feel something. My goal was always to give fans a reason to care, to feel connected to the players, and ultimately to feel like they needed to be in the building. Whether it was highlighting player personalities, capturing emotional moments, or building anticipation around game nights, I focused on creating content that turned casual viewers into invested fans.

This role solidified my passion for digital storytelling in sports. It taught me how to blend creativity with strategy, how to think from both a fan and business perspective, and how to create content that drives real impact. Most importantly, it reinforced my belief that the best marketing makes people feel connected—to a team, to its players, and to the experience of being part of something bigger.
